WEXNER HERITAGE HOUSE

COLUMBUS, OH | SITE PLANNING, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, THERAPEUTIC LANDSCAPE DESIGN

Wexner Heritage Village began in 1951 to meet the needs of Jewish elderly in the Columbus area. Since then, the organization has grown to include programs and services designed to enhance the quality of life for seniors and for the developmentally disabled. POD design provided the design for a “healing garden” courtyard. The site furniture and plant material were chosen to maximize a variety of stimulating sensations, including fragrances, tactile surfaces and the sound of splashing water. POD was involved in all phases of landscape design from schematic through bidding and construction observation.
