POD Design is in the design development phase of the Southern Ohio Medical Center expansion located in Portsmouth Ohio. The planned site improvements for the proposed medical center expansion include landscape along the base of the new bed tower, auto arrival area, general site landscape, pedestrian hardscape plazas as well as an outdoor seating area for a proposed café. The gardens and paths encourage patients to explore the hospital grounds and serve as pleasant trip destinations that motivate walking and wheelchair use. POD was responsible for preparing final plans and specifications for competitive bidding and construction.
