POD Design prepared concepts and construction documentation for playground upgrades (hard and soft areas) and minor pavement modifications within the vehicular circulation areas of the Gables Elementary School site located in Columbus, Ohio. POD Design prepared conceptual site circulation concepts for client review and consideration for future implementation on the site. Existing parking and playground facilities were assessed for potential improvements related to vehicular and pedestrian circulation, potential consolidation/upgrades to soft surface play areas and the addition of an appropriately sized hard surface play area on the north side of the school building. The entire project was coordinated with Columbus City Schools Capitol Improvements Office staff, Gables Elementary School staff, parents and students throughout the design process. Plans, details and specifications developed during this process were prepared for public bid.
